Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Hermes650 application ("the application", "we", "us") collects, how it is used and stored, and the choices available to the person who operates it. Hermes650 is a private, owner-operated automation assistant that runs on the owner's own computer. It is not a public service: there is no public sign-up, no third-party user accounts, and no advertising.
1. Data the application accesses
When the owner connects a Google Account, the application requests only the access it needs to carry out the tasks the owner asks of it, and only with the owner's explicit consent on Google's own consent screen:
- Gmail — read message content and metadata, and create, label or send mail when the owner asks it to (for example, filing receipts, drafting a reply, or logging a message).
- Google Drive, Docs and Sheets — read and, where the owner directs, create or update the documents and spreadsheets the owner points it at.
- Google Calendar — read calendar entries and create or update events at the owner's direction.
- Contacts — read contact names and addresses so the owner's records can be matched correctly.
The application accesses Google user data only for these owner-directed purposes. It does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or model training.
2. How the data is used
Data is used solely to perform the tasks the owner requests — for example, organising household and business records, summarising mail and documents, preparing drafts, maintaining schedules, and keeping a private record of activity. No automated decisions are made about the owner, and nothing is published.
3. Storage and security
- OAuth credentials (access and refresh tokens) are stored only on the owner's own device, in owner-only readable files, and are not transmitted to any service operated by us.
- Retrieved content is kept in a local, access-controlled store on the owner's devices and their private network-attached storage; it is encrypted at rest where the platform supports it.
- Access is limited to the owner. There is no hosted backend, no shared multi-tenant database, and no third-party analytics applied to Google user data.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, trade or share Google user data. Data is not disclosed to third parties except: (a) as required to complete a task the owner explicitly requests through the Google APIs themselves; or (b) where required by law. No human at any other company reads it.
5. Google API Services User Data Policy
Hermes650's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- Google user data is used only to provide or improve the owner-facing features that are prominent in the application's interface.
- Google user data is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to the owner.
- Google user data is not used for serving advertisements, and is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
- No human reads Google user data except with the owner's affirmative consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or to fix a fault at the owner's request.
6. Retention and deletion
Retrieved data is retained only for as long as it is useful to the task the owner requested, and can be deleted by the owner at any time by removing it from the local store. Removing the application's credentials ends all further access immediately.
7. Your choices and how to revoke access
- You can revoke the application's access to your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- You can delete locally stored data by deleting the application's data directory on the owner's device.
- To request deletion of any data associated with this application, contact us at the address below.
8. Children
The application is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. The Google Accounts it connects are adult-owned accounts.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued operation of the application after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
